I have made a fire in my map and now im trying to add a fire sound to make it more realistic, the only problem is that I cant hear my sound. And the console isnt showing any errors either.

I created a scriptmodel and gave it these values

targetname/firesound

my scipt for the sound:

firesound()
{

fire = getentarray ("firesound", "targetname");

for (i=0; {
fire playsound ("fire_noise");
}
}

my .csv file

fire_noise,,fire/Fire_Big_loop02.wav,0.5,,,,100,1000,auto,streamed,,looping,,,

can antone plz help me, I really dont know whats wrong evrything looks fine to me.

are u following the tutorial in the cod section about sounds?

if not, i strongly recommend u do...

I did

I did everything the tutorial said and got all sorts of errors

the script im using now comes from a stock .gsc file (cant remember which one, I thought burnville)

It works fine, excpet for the no sound part [crazy]

you need 2 csvs....one for game to load the deafaults and you csv u made there for the fire. do you have a csv in soundloadspecs folder?

here we go...

make a folder called soundloadspecs then in there make 1 named mp, then make another CSV file in there named MAPNAME

it should look like this..
#DEFAULTS
dialog_mp.csv
gmi_dialog_mp.csv
generic_mp_sound.csv
gmi_mp_weap_all_allied.csv
gmi_mp_artillery.csv

#others
YOURFIRESCRIPTNAME.csv

then in your soundaliases folder you need the csv you posted on this thread

btw its for a singleplayer map not a MP

you can call firesound with fx effect.you must find a fire effect in pak5.pk3.than create new folder main/fx/fire, put copy of this effect in and rename.open it in notepad and at the end write:
Sound
{
sounds
[
soundalias name
]
}
you must defined soundalias in .csv file
