Solid script_models in CoD4MP? Yay its possible.
Note: there is no clip texture, everything was done by script.

Yeah I can do solid models as well if you move a clip brush and surround your model with it.

However, if you not using that method but not willing to share, please dont bother to post, as its just pure showing off: "oowww, look at me! See how awesome I am at modding!"

Well here is a quick tutorial how to spawn solid script models.

1. Make sure your custom model got HIGH COLLISION LOD.
2. Now write a script:

Code:
	solidmodel = spawn( "script_model", (0,0,0) );
	solidmodel setmodel("bx_turret_weapon");
	solidmodel setContents(1); //magic


That's how i did it.
BTW. SetContents() Power!

I thought we could spawn script models anyway with clips, including hiding and moving them in custom maps atleast (aka ones that we can compile), the test level in xfire is a custom map so I don't understand.

Like Demon said, tell what you've done and how you've done it, modsonline is all about crediting it's users so we'll make sure everyone knows you have done this if that's what your worried about [thumbs_up]

How does Setcontents know the shape and collision of the model? Does it work well with all models even more complicated shapes?

I wasn't trying setContents() with stock models, but they should be solid if there is high collision lod.

We've been through this before, but apparently you dont listen - you cannot make a solid model via the use of setContents(). IT DOESNT WORK!

I bet if you removed the setContents() from your code with your custom model, you will find it STILL works.
