Hi, here is a sneak peek of Heroes 7 part 3 "Fall of Man".

Please post some feedback. There won't be any beta testing just alpha testing... Final test only. Check out the video and see if you like it or not. This time around it is better than the first 2. This map isn't done yet, lots more to go!

Hope to see some good comments!

3:40 This House is simillar to house from map sp_map_city ? But this map will be maybe better then your previous(they are very, very bad...)

Nice start, i think a few thing would be better changed though, the helo drops, they are look nice but tactically if you was commanding the other team would you really drop your troops in the middle of a group of enemy soldiers?

Yes, I realized it. I will fix it. However, I don't think anyone will turn to see it. I will fix it.

I am using void_source's prefabs. I got permission from him to use it. I just removed and added some stuff. Huh, very bad, the other 2. I had always thought that part 2 was good. Well, as you can see I am not a pro mapper/scripter like some people. I am just using what I know and what is creative to making maps. Beware of things that aren't going to be good enough to you people. I am doing my best. I am currently struggling with time management. I got school and I got this mapping to do. So, please cut me some slacks. [tongue]

Thanx. For the heli drop, well, I mean it is just a game right? It doesn't have to be too realistic. I will, though, place it elsewhere. I also have to say the jet has a problem too. The jet can't just curve down and up right away. Don't know if you noticed it. I will fix those little errors.

Thanx for your concerns. Will fix those problems and make the map more appealing.

Any other suggestions or good comments...? Didn't see a lot of good feedback....

its still an early version. Give it time, updates, and some eye pleasers and you will win them over.

start with the jet. You can make it rotate but u have to use vehicle nodes. I did that for my jet on my video. That will help you make the jet turn in w/e angle you want it to turn at. I would also suggest to change the jet incoming direction so that the player can view it, because if you believe the player wont be looking at it, then there's no purpose for it to be there right? so make it come from an angle where the player will be looking at it.

the door when the ai kicks it, turn it into a script brushmodel and make it rotate. this way it looks a more awesome than it already is :D. Also give ur self more time to work on each scene a lil longer than you would normally do. maybe u could work on one scene and then another during different parts of the week. Take ur time, the more time u spend on it, the more perfect it can only get. Dont rush it. Other than that things seem to be going as you want them too, which is good. good job so far.


Have you ever thought about using "add_start" function? it is very helpful to work on each scene and test it without playing the entire mission. this way u can focus on each scene and watnot.All stock maps have this before its _load. I didnt know of this feature until i was done with my first sp map otherwise this would of helped a whole lot : )

if you need to know how to make it work holla at me on xfire ill help you out with this. this way you can work on each scene more appropriately and have more time to work on each one a lil longer than you can in the small amount of time that you have each day.

Thanx voidsource. The jet already has vehicle nodes. That is the only vehicle with them. The other vehicle uses script_origins. The door is script_brushmodel, how do u think the door deletes. The door rotating I can do. I tried your vehicle collmap thing but it doesn't work efficiently. I tried applying demonseed (or whoever it was, I can't remember) codes too. It works but the vehicle is rotating everywhere. The car isn't properly aligned on the ground. You can help me later.


I will try to take my time but I don't want to take too long because I will have other commitments. Anyway, I will keep working. The map is pretty long, although, the objectives aren't much. There will be a car chase scene, but I just have to figure out how to get AI to shoot from vehicles.
