If anyone could help me it would be appreciated.
I have my map in a .pk3 with the following .arena file

{
map "cement"
longname "cement"
gametype "dm"
}

Now when i goto "start new server" in united offensive the map does not show up in the list of maps.

so i copied the map to my cod/main folder and tried going to COD and start new server the map shows up in the list and starts fine.
does anyone know why this would happen?

well just make sure in your pk3 file that u have 2 folders atleast...(MAPS and MP) Maps will contain another folder called MP then in there u will have your .gsc, .bsp and other stuff. Now back up to the Original MAPS and MP ..inside MP u will have a .arena file. Also make sure u name the arean file the same as your map (name of map.arena)

hope this helps

if there are too many maps to choose from, yours may not be listed...especially in the base game (dm) as EVERY map has to at least support that gametype

if you have custom maps in your ../main/ or ../uo/ directories remove them and see if your map shows up

Stryder Thank you...I removed the custom maps in my folder and then tried it and it showed up.
I sent the map to my friend to see if it was my computer and it didnt show up on his either so he must have had to many maps also.
But thanks for the info Relieves some stress
