After working with cod4 MOD Tools can not run the game in full screen.
Also my favorites are gone

Go to your players folder in the game's root install location, and locate the active account (you could have several). Open the folder with the active account name. There you will find a file named config_mp.cfg. Open it with a text editor (like wordpad for example). Search (CTRL + F) for "r_fullscreen" and set the value to 1.

Close and save.

I do it ingame.


open console > r_fullscreen 1
enter
console > vid_restart

That doesnt always work. People have complained that doing it via console doesnt fix it, which is why I told him to edit the config file directly.

Experience tells you these things.

In my experience and knowledge. It works for me. *shrugs*

when ever i have had probs with it going into window mode after ive compiled no of the above have worked for me
The only thing that does work for me is this below
When added to the Use Custom Command Line Opions
+set scr_game_matchstarttime 0 +set scr_game_playerwaittime 0 +set r_fullscreen 1 +set scr_game_spectatetype 2 +set scr_war_timelimit 30

Ive added the above to the bat file but still made no differance
So add it to the Use Custom Command Line Opions
and has always worked for me

The only time you cannot change it in console is when your in a listening server. Otherwise you can always change it.

The .exe needs to restart itself for changes to take affect. For example if you put AA or increase the game resolution the game needs to restart. Now you can make it fullscreen by rightclicking the .exe shortcut and adding the line at the end. So it should look something similar to this.

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\CoDWaW.exe" +r_fullscreen 1
