No point learning to export to COD2 if you've got no model to export. So first learn to model first; learn to walk before you run. Show us a character model you've made in Maya first, all finished and UV wrapped, and then we can address the question of "how" you get it into COD2.

And, you're sure that the Maya 6.0 is able to open projects of the newst versions? So I could work with the last version of Maya.

Yeah I'm pretty sure, if it doesnt, you can always hack the .MA file that you save it with, and change the version so it opens in 6.0

Hi again!

I started modelling the torso in Maya 2008 and have tried to open it in Maya 6.0 but when I do it it says:

"Errors have ocurred while reading this scene that may result in data loss. Please check the Script Editor for details."

Could you help me with this?

I think i got it:

I downloaded this tool http://www.creativecrash.com/downloads/applications/translators/c/maya-file-converting-tool and converted my .ma file. Then I open this convertion with Maya 6.0 and it goes, onyl that at the beginning it says the same error like before but when I clic on OK it's like no error was being (I can use all the functions, etc.)

Did I do the correct or maybe later I can have problems with the exporting?

I saved this last file in a new .mb file with Maya 6.0 and it appears that the file is clear, no error message more.
