after being given a load of prefabs*, i started this last month to get some terrain practice for the next one i wanna do...
now those ripped source files are out, i kinda don't know where i want to go with it..

since its not 100% to scale, and i ve spent soo much time on it already (adjusting everything i had, doing the terrain, texturing, the trench etc)..
i m thinking of making it night version and/or extending it maybe...
since someone else is likely to do a 100% to scale version anyway...
opinions?
*full credit will be given when i know teh ins and outs. |

Hehe, caught up in the moment. Ahh yes, what do to. I would personally really emphesize the new textures, as well as the new FX's and other fancy dancy tools such as HDR in this map. God rays through the windows, ambient snow fx, and new custom textures would make a classic a classic once agian. |

ambient snow is a definate too.
its more the setting..
make it night time and add lots of lights and alter the layout...
or keep it as original as poss but add ambient snow/fog. (plus the things u mentioned :P)
Go for the night version and extend it - add your "touch" to a fun map. After seeing what you did with powcamp (great job) - I am very much looking forward to this creative effort for pavlov. |

thanks for the comments!
i can't help myself...i have an inherrant need to "nightify" all my maps! i promise the next one will be sunny!
theres alot of background to this map! almost as if it was intended to be much bigger, i m thinking of tapping into that....
will keep this topic updated anyway.
i remember one thing that used to bug me about this map! the germans (i think) wore white uniforms and the ruskies (i think!) wore dark uniforms...making the germans show up much more in windows! if anyone has any idea how to even this up/stop it! i m all ears. |

About the uniforms..there seems to be russian and german snow
skins....
btw how did you do those road tracks...maybe need some in my new
map... |
