'Appdata' is a hidden folder so you probably have it hidden, you will be able to see it by going to 'Folder options' - 'View' - check 'Show hidden files, folders and drives'

I take it you do have the game installed and not just copied over from another HDD, you need to install it to create all the folders.

It's strange as it must be there. What happens when you start the game can you log in to your profile? If so then it has to be there.

Missing profile folders is caused by the Treyarch/Deamon account server not recognising your account name.

All MP and Coop accounts have to be registered with the Deamon account server. If they arent, then it wont re-create the necessary files and wont update and store rank and unlocks as you play.

There are 2 reasons for this:

1. The game is pirated, in which case the account cant be legitimately created.

2. The username you are trying to use isnt one you registered with the game. As you can create a folder and name it what you like and run a LAN server, this sometimes gives the impression that the account name is working. It isnt, and it wont update the mpdata file as you play.

Best thing to do is start up MP and select the online profile option. If an account name shows, log into it and then immediately select the online profile option again, but this time select 'delete'. When prompted, confirm the deletion.

Do this with as many accounts that show until none are left. Once you've done that, go to select an online profile again, and you should be prompted that no account exists and so you must create a new one. Do so.

If no accounts show when you select the online profile option, go immediately to creating one. You will have to mess around getting a name that the Deamon server allows, but once you've done it successfully, it should all work from there on.

Unless, of course, the game is pirated. But we wont go into that.

i had it with a brand new game cod4 on damn vista profile or usermaps i coulnd find them no matter what i did its vista its a big bug
i reinstald vista and the game several times you can play in game your profile is there you can download costum maps but you cant find them back on your pc its crazy

that was part of the problem ,had to 0 out the hard drive 4 times to get them to show up ,and they were under hidden files but the hard drive needed to be clean big time ,thanks for all your help Guys !Dave

Mr seed thank you ,that was the problem right there ,man i never figured that at all ,thanks got my rank back also ,thank god i saved it on a disk,,i just replaced the mp data and the config,thanks again man!
