A friend needs help
One of my clan mates wants to get into cod2 mapping. He keeps getting the bin/.prj unrecoverable error 0 when he loads up radiant. I directed him through TS on how to set it up and go into the preferences to uncheck load last project, but it never saves it..everytime he gets the error he goes back and it is still checked in preferences. He has a clean main folder and is running windows xp.. any ideas?

I know this one

For some reason Radiant creates a file in the root of the drive it is installed (in my case c:\) called tstamps.log

I would imagine that for some reason he doesn't have read/write access to this file.

I had the same problem, used procmon tools to track it down and I have had no problems since.

He needs to give himself the correct access to that file using windows permissions.

and thats it? once he can see the file or view it does anything need to be changed?

He needs to be able to edit (ie change) the file, but yes that was all I needed to do.

I am not saying that this will fix it, but as I said, I had the same problem and it drove me batty!!!

but in the properties of the file what do you do to fix it?
