Is it possible to drop in a minigun turret like the one from "Village Defend" into a MP or SP map? I can't seem to find any documentation on it. I've been successful at putting in the saw and rpd but can't quite figure out the minigun.

Yes; it should be for SP. Basically its the same process as the SAW or RPD, but you need to find the correct weaponinfo and scripts for the minigun. You might also have to call onto another script for it to work properly as it has a cool down system.

Thats the thing, I can't seem to find the proper model name and weaponinfo for it. I'm kinda new to this so I'm not even sure where to start other than google which hasn't been much help. Shouldn't all this be declared/initialized in a script file or other text file somewhere?

I just checked out the Village Defend script and it seems they use several scripts inmbedded into the Village Defend one to not only make the Minigun usable, but control the amount of kills and time you can use it.

My guess is; they still use a turret entity and weaponinfo; but also collaberate this with scripts to add special functions.

The sounds for the minigun are not included with the modtools, you can try using the heli's gun though.
