Ok before you dissmiss this post as just another noob who dosent know how to map and isnt worth your time helping, i wasnt you to read on, im an epirianced mapper, with a real stupid error

Basicaly when ever i test my map after compile, the erorr comes up no info specified for turret, but i cannt delete the turret, becuase it dose not apear on my radiant, for some reason everybody else can see it, and no ststic modles option is ticked, i think its becuase the building is a prefab and the mg42 came with it :S any hel would be much apreciated

Press "F" on your keyboard and make sure all the options are ticked

I suggest manually deleteing the entery for the MG then. For example go to C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\map_source

or similar

After this find the .map of the prefab. Open the file using notepad and find the information for the MG entity.

An example is below.

{
"classname" "misc_prefab"
"model" "prefabs/mp/sd_bombtrigger.map"
"origin" "-1008 -800 464"
}


Select all that is in betweent the brackets ( { and } ) and delete it. Save the .map as a new name just incase you accidently deleted an extra line creating a unrecoverable error.

Maybe the prefabs author had setup Layers, I'm not sure how layers work in COD2.

But for a test, press L and check all the layers so that they are visible.

I pressed L and that brngs up something irrelavent, and i cant find the bombtrigger line anywhere in the map files D:?

he wasnt saying look for the bomb trigger line - he was telling you to look for something similar regarding your turret
