ok so the SAW turret i don't want now what i do want is a m60 for RPD turret this there anyway to do this


i know i ask a lot of stuff but its part of learning [rocking]

I think if it were possible someone would have used another one by now.
But I don't think I saw another MG in someone else's map, so it's safe to assume that at the moment that's the only one (and I'm not sure how it would be done for the others).

Nah, I did it in at least two of my maps. I don't know anyone else who used these weapons yet. [tongue]

Cloud_Citi and Citi Assault.

Did the Minigun, 50cal, RPD and MG42 turret. All 4 are in Cloud Citi.

The MG42 though had some animation issues but it still worked.
If another player looked at a guy on the MG42 turret, the gun would move but the player was stationary. He didn't move with the gun. The 50cal also looked funny to the player using it. Other than that, the Minigun and RPD worked perfect.

I had to create a weapon file for them. I just copied the Saw weapon file, edited it for the models, the sounds and the hint picture. Added the sounds, the weapon files to the zone file and put the weapon files in a separate iwd, away from my map iwd, it tend to crash alot of servers if the weapon files were mixed in with the map iwd.


The xmodels I used are the following:

The turrets get added just like the SAW, you need to use the right weapon file depending on if the player is crouched or Standing or Prone. I didn't make them for all positions, but there is enough.

The two sounds I used I've attached, along with the weapon files. If you want to see them in action, download "mp_cloud_citi" and take a look.

Remember if you use any of these, don't forget to make a SEPARATE Iwd, with the weapon files in it, or its going to crash servers everywhere. I named my iwd, "citi_weapons.iwd".
