lol , will do [thumbs_up]

i'm still not convinced where talking about the same video though [tongue] in that vid , i cant remember saying anything about that , i know i did early on in the basic outdoor vid but in the advacned i show how to create a sealed enviroment for a cell using 80% portal brushes !

im not trying to argue about your point , i just want to make sure they are as good as they can be [thumbs_up] so your feddback is much appreciated mate [thumbs_up]

Yeah I might have read the title of the wrong one, but if you go into to covering areas where the portals make up all the walls of the cells then it doesn't matter as the nodraw portion would definitely not be connected to structural brushes.

If I don't have time tonight (going for a BBQ in a bit) then I'll watch them all over breakfast tomorrow but I'm sure it's all OK [cool]

no rush mate [thumbs_up] like i say , your feedback is very much appreciated [thumbs_up] so thanks

one thing i will say , in the vid im talking about , i display how to filter out using the no-draw to view the portal planes as the engine would see them by using the capital D no draw surfs toggle button , like you mentioned

so that's what made me think it maybe a different video we are talking about[thumbs_up]

i for one did notice how professional and scripted it was! [thumbs_up]

altho you might've said "portal" 4 times too many at times! and made me laugh with a "we-he-he" or some noise when something was finished! [lol]

[lol] yeah , i know right ? i had portal on the brain for about 2 week's when making the series ! lol , i'm pretty sure i woke up one night screaming the word [cry]

i did have to write a script for the first few , there was ALOT of info i had to add and i needed to make sure i didnt wonder off and start talking about somthing else half way through [rolleyes] which i like to do , but for the advanced one's i did mostly freestyle it , which is why there are more cut's [tongue]

aslong as they are easy to follow and helpfull , i can live with myself for the rest [casanova]

These portal tutorials have been most helpful especially the outdoor portalling.

Portalling buildings is straight forward, had no problems their but I just could not figure out how to perform outside portalling efficiently and get it to actually work.

I have a map that I have been working on for what feels like forever. It is such a large outdoor map it needs to be portalled.

Your videos made it so much more easier to understand actually seeing portalling being applied. I have read all the portalling tutorials I could find and none explained outdoor portalling in a way that I could fully understand. I was 98% there and you have now provided what I have been missing.

So I am going to see if I can finally finish the map I've been working on. Thanks again. [thumbs_up]
