By 'community' you mean me right? [wink]

hehe, glad to see some video tutorials and narration, they look good and seem to cover the process well, expanding the roof brushes was a bit dodgy but I'll let you get away with that [lol]

It's OK - It depends on your mapping style I guess, expanding any brush at an angle is dodgy because it can corrupt it, creating an infinite brush - luckily CODWAW seems to have a better history so you can ctrl-z without worrying too much.

Other methods would eb the E tool or the clipper but if it works it works [thumbs_up]

your absolutly right about that , it can do , i think aslong as you stay in the same grid for it and pull at the same angle the brush is facing you shoudnt have a problem

ill add a general note of warning about adjusting any type of angled brush [wink]

thats why ive kept these in the same thread so people can read the discussion about stuff like this [thumbs_up]

so , after considereing the brief discuassion about the dragging of angled brushes (cheers Techno) i decided to red-o the tutorial and ended up making a better one , i think anyway [lol]

this tutorial although similar to the first show's a few new techniques for doing stuff and worth alook even if you watched the first, so in the end due to the different ways i showed , i decided to leave the first tutorial active and call this one detailed roof part two , imaginative huh ?

Intermediate : Detailed roof part 2

hope it helps [thumbs_up]

Excellent mate very well done - Say your name at the beginning though so everyone knows who's made the video and who they are listening to!

And just 1 tip, the bit where you wanted to easily select the patch instead of the brush, right click any object in the 3d window and it brings up a menu, if there are multiple surfaces you can tick which ones you want easily.

Keep em coming !
