Is it normal..well..that compiling takes so long? When I add Sundiffusesamples to 12 it takes a bit more longer...i edited mp_foy added few more '88's and compiling + light compiling for entire mp_foy takes like 1-3 hours...is that normal?

Don't run any applications or progs whilst compiling your changed mp_foy . . . .i remember changing mp_foy (not much, just a few prefabs, a few tunnels here and there, and a teleporting tardis) if my memory serves me right it took about 30-40 mins and that was 2 year ago with a crap comp. whats your cpu? and comp spec?

Well..I played Minesweeper and searched on internet some while compiling [devilishgrin] Never knew that could affect it.

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
E7200 @ 2.53GHz
2.53 GHz, 3,25 GB of RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series

I got perfect computer. LG monitor, running screen resolution on 1920 by 1080 pixels, color quality of 32 bit.

With my computer, everything is just fine. But I think SunDiffuseSamples affect at that slowness, they're set to 12.

Cheers

I am sure you compile maps really fast mate ;)

But, try to compile with CoDUO Maker, set on Modelshadow, ModelAlphaShadow and Extra, and set SunDiffuseSamples to 12. Then you will see how much it takes :)

For mp_foy, without light compiling, without Modelshadow, ModelAlphaShadow Extra and SunDiffuseSamples set to 12, I need like 3-5 minutes to compile it. But with lights as I said, 1-3 hours.

I will add you to xfire, ofcourse! ;)

P.S. Guys I know my post timing is not perfect, but I can't affect time. I am from croatia, so here is GMT+1, and time is 10:38 AM, not 4:38 AM.
