i noticed that when u make transform a brush to a brush model or just use a regular model u cant see any decals on it(wallamarks and stuff).
1.is there a way to fix that?

2.is there a way that i can shoot something and then a message will pop up and say that i hit him.
like i shoot some model and then i see text like "Hit!".
if so, can u give me some pointers?? :)

hmm, Im not sure about the 1st one, but I think there is a mod you can get that does the 2nd one....

this sounds more like a custom texture shader issue than a script_brushmodel problem

the reason i say so is that i have created/placed many script_brushmodels in my time, and have not encountered this problem

what texture are you using on your s_bms?

relatively easy to do..

create a trigger_damage in your map around what you want it to give you a reaction on

use scripting to get the trigger, then once triggered print your message on the screen[angryalien]

thanks man
i use metal@deckplate. i really think its because of the script_brushmodel or at least everything that is scripted (moving) in my map, anyways when i make it a regular brush again i can shoot and see marks.

thanks for answering the second question!

BTW im making a training map with moving models so u can shoot and then it'l print on the screen if u hit / headshot.
