Right, let me tell you something very important in this issue: your perception controls your reality and therefor your gaming experience.
The way you see your game, the quality of the sound and the handling of the game engine creates what we use to call videogames.

Now if you eliminate that same perception by stimulating directly your brain in order to get an useful experience you're going to end up with a whole new thing alright but definitely NOT a videogame! Maybe something more close to an LSD trip, who knows?

Obviously this problem is way more complex than this, your own culture and your mood both have a very strong influence in what you play, with who and how you play your game.

A neuro-stimulation that can work great with orientals won't do a thing to western guys and vice-versa, that's my point with the brain patterns you need to find the common ones to make a global feeling and it will narrow your choices.
