Yeh me again lol

Sound is driving me crazy got anew error

Error: attempted to play spatialized alias 'small_00' while there is no active listener. Most likely this means you tried to play a spatialized sound while not in a level.

Error: attempted to play spatialized alias 'rh_ax_dawnville_rainloop' while there is no active listener. Most likely this means you tried to play a spatialized sound while not in a level.

I get a Error: 'Unhandled Exception Caught'

And it crashes anyway to fix this

Heres a thought - go ask Cornrow Wallace for the soundalias he used for that sound file.

i doubt its the sound causing the crash....

that sound error seems to happen on that weird screen when u load the map...just before u get the team selection...

plus the sound worked when u first did it.

Well mrsly at codutility.com

made me a new csv and still get the errorin devmode/console but it

doesn,t crash so thats a start..

Also checked ax_dawnville and it gave me the same errors with other

soundname,maybe someone can confirm that..

Send that sound file to my email buddy - I had the exact same problem with a custom generator sound.

As for the crashing error, developer mode in r_fullscreen 0 should do it.

Good to see my sound tutorials are being used, you can change "small_00" to whatever you like, it's just the name of a fire sound I was testing while writing that one [thumbs_up]

why have u got all those sounds in your alias if your only using rain and fire?! [confused]

u only need the header and the two lines for rain and fire.


the game uses the downfall .csv and your map csv...

"sound,mp_downfall,mp_downfall,all_mp" from your zone file,

for ambient wind and if u add structs those annoying voices...

and "sound,mp_yourmapname,mp_mp_yourmapname,all_mp"

for the extra sounds your adding now!

now wonder your crashing, its probably doubling sounds up. [wink]


i use the sound and clientscripts tuts all the time! [thumbs_up]

i think the errors exactly what it says..

when that weird screen comes on before every custom map the game "tried to play a spatialized sound while not in a level."....

once that screen has gone so does the error.


as far as the soundalias...your lines are different..

"all_mp" [confused]

if the fire sounds correct use the same settings..
