HOW do i make my own server for sof2 i herd you use runner1 if so where do i get that?

download program called admin mod 1 (adm1)

It depends on what MOD you wish to run... but all you really need to do is run the server as dedicated for it to showup on the internet list...

"SoF2MP.exe" +set dedicated 2
Note that +set dedicated 1 will run a ‘lan’ server

Keep in mind that with a home connection, you will be lucky to get 8 players without lag, and thats without PB...

Also, if you have a router, you will have to open the ports for SOF2...

If you want to run OSP, I can send you a prefab of a server setup...

I have never had good luck with SOF2RUNNER, but you can try ti, maybe the newest version is fixed...

i want to be able to run it in osp mod or rocmod. but do i need to get runner1 or wht to get server running?

Also how do i get ref and adm contorls for my own server once i know how to make my own server?

OSP 0.3k

extract this using foldernames into your sof2 folder (not base) so you end up with "sof2\osp"

before running your server, you must edit sof2\osp\server.cfg in notepad or the like, find these 2 lines and fill them in...

seta rconpassword "example"
seta sv_hostname "OSP 0.3k Server"

in your sof2 folder you will see "SOF2MPSERVERSTART.bat" if you double click this file, or create a shortcut to it, this will start your server...

There are documents included in osp\docs on how to use admin...

add yourself as admin after joining the server by entering the console
and typing out

rconpassword example
rcon addadmin 0 (or your ID#)

im still a little lost on at the sof2/osp/server.cfg to notpad?


for adm when i enter it says

"cmd adm unknown"

That is exactly what I used on my server, it is fully functional, all you have to do is follow the directions above, if you wish you can get me on MSN, as I'm sure it's something simple your overlooking...

i dont have msn. is there any other way i can reach you besides e-mail. some suggestions if you play sof2 then maybe you got Xfire or vent or ts. Also what is "runner" can i also use that

I have TS, but you have to wait til I get home in about 4 hours from now...

I didn't have any luck with sof2runner, they might have a newer version since then, you can try it...

Hey MYOB

so i put the "example" in seta rconpassword
and i did seat sv_hostname "OSP 0.3k Server",
but when i duoble click on the SOF2MPSERVERSTART.bat it flashes the command prompt at me and it wont bring up the server? im stumped help me.
