I remember hearing a long time ago that someone managed to import some bf2 weapons into cod4, so I though that would be a good idea, now I just got the game and I think a lot of the weapons ( and vehicles ) would be a nice adition to cod4. But as you can tell I dont have a clue in modeling so If anyone out there knows anything please feel free to share

Unless you get permission from the makers, it isnt legal to import assets from another game into COD.

If they 'imported' them they most likely just remodeled them for CoD.

So, the fact that you might not get prosecuted makes it ok does it? Something is not wrong only when you will get caught for it - something is wrong pure and simple, and pirating is wrong. If you get away with it, that doesnt make it right.

And who knows? Like the countless people who have been prosecuted recently for pirating music (and that means inidividuals - not just websites and P2P networks), perhaps if the companies know about you, they might prosecute you just to make an example out of you.

Also, I would point out that talking about pirating or admitting to it on a website like this, where it is against the rules of the forum, is not clever.

I dont remember reading that it wasnt allowed to admit you have a lot of downloaded content. And I did pay for my BF2 copy, Im not making money out of the mod Im gonna use them in. Pease just tell me if its possible

I did the import orginally as a test, i did it for the m24 - there are convertors out there basically for this. However i would say that the poly count and texture res was not extraordinary and so i would recommend using other models, either custom made or from 3D models sites like turbosquid.com

For a few $$ you can get some decent stuff

No, it sure wouldn't get to that. You would be asked to remove the content first. Should you refuse of course then you might be in trouble.
