Missing AC130 sounds.

Anyone know of a program that automatics extracting sounds from the FastFiles?

*I tried AintNoMeInTeams, it doesn't work for extracting sounds from CoD4.

Edit: If possible to get them from MW2 too that would be neat.

the cod4 compiler does something with the headers, i assume the relevant information (number of channels, sampling rate etc.) is stored next to the soundalias assets in the fastfile.

'cause the original WAVE headers aren't anywhere in the fastfile, it's not possible to extract the sounds as yet. Daevius and me investigate the FF format currently, but we haven't looked at audio files until now. But we probably will.

i just had another look at it and it seems like the WAVE header information is still in FF but a little spread. I successfully got the AC130 fire sound extracted by hand and using couple tricks. I feel confident that there will be an application to extract the sounds.

It's not just the AC-130, I requested a de-compiler for CoD4 SP sounds a long time ago because there are more sounds missing then available.

A few more:

- Bradley main turret sounds (or change original gamefile and use other sound)
- Minigun sounds (or change the original gamefile to use the minigun sound from the Cobra)
- T-72 animated explosion sequence cook-off sounds

Never tried AC-130 before, what sounds are missing exactly? Might try to record them and use them yourself but there will be slight background noise (it's better than nothing).

A lot of vehicles are also missing several animations but if you modify the stock game files it should be ok just don't forget to add them to your mod.

I'm not sure if this is related to the AC130 too but it was mentioned while compiling my map (so far its just the AC130 moving around in the map and nothing else so probably related to AC130):
