Ok, what i did was open the picture i wanted to use in photoshop 6.0, (might be different in other photoshops) add the effects and everything that i wanted to add to it. Then when i wanted to save as a .dds, i went to the top where it says Image < reize < image size or alt+ctrl+i than at the bottom uncheck the boxes that say scale style, constrain proportions... enter the size you want, the size i used was 14.22 in x 14.22 in which is 1024 x 1024. hope this helps
