Let me explain it to you.
VAC and PB use delayed bans. What are they? and why?
When a Hack is detected, people will tell everyone on there hack forum, and therefore people will stop using the hack so they dont get banned, and wait for the coder to update it before they play again.
Now delayed bans detect the hackers hack, and add them to a Ban List which does not ban them straight away, but instead lets then know this client is hacking. They keep this detection running for weeks lettting hackers come on servers and get detected, but not know about it. Then after 3 weeks and a huge load of ban lists. They release the bans, catching 500% more then you would with an instant detection.
My brother has a degree in Hacking and I'm not going to lie you I have hacked cod once and again. VAC is a bad anti-cheat and even if it does catch a few, they will come back and back......
There are many "Private Hacks" around, where people pay for the hack. The hack they buy it a very well coded hack and is rarely detected. These hacks have private hack forums that come with them aswel and iv been reading around the one I have access to and they are content on killing MW2. |

Like the post above says, they will only get banned once that specific hack has been detected by VAC. By the time the hack is detected new versions will already be online.
It's a loop that can only be broken by dedicated servers or admins that are there to ban people.
Usually big dedicated servers have a banlist that automatically bans any cheater that was caught on other servers or when people report cheaters on their community forums.
But yeah - that's how USED to be. |

PS: A funny story -
Back in 2008, a group of hackers discovered a Memory Signiture that PB was using to ban hackers using hacks. This group then went into IRC, Forums, Websites, spamming this memory signiture. If people where in game and in IRC and this memory signiture came up. They where banned. Hundreds of Thousands where banned for no reason, it was very funny.
I fail to see the 'funny' in that.. |
