The NPD Group have released their latest PC software report. The table shows the top 10-selling games for the week of 13 - 19 March 2005. Here are their listings:

  1. The Sims 2: University
  2. World of Warcraft
  3. The Sims 2
  4. Brothers in Arms
  5. Halo: Combat Evolved
  6. Half-Life 2
  7. The Sims Deluxe
  8. The Sims: Unleashed Expansion Pack
  9. Galaxy of Games 350 JC
  10. Star Wars: Republic Commando
Personally, I think something is a bit off here but hey that\'s what they\'ve posted not me. The Sims? I mean give me a break.

Cheers

Lets not forget that every business corp out there has their own top 10 list. I just thought that this one was on the funky weird side. lol

Why is Halo on there? Halo's been out for a long time.

The results are probably the way they are because of where they recorded their data. They didn't mention what websites they looked at did they?

Call of Duty wouldn't be on there because it is around three years old. I guess the Sims and Halo, although they are older than Call of Duty, are on there because they're both games the "non-gaming" world buys and enjoys. If you were to go to every Jr. high and high school in the United States, many girls would say they played either the Sims or Sims2. And all the boys would say they played Halo or Halo 2 on their Xbox.

Yes, yes they do.

It's been said before that the "Sims" franchise gives EA a license to print money. Although I would like to say that the games themselves, not the expansions, are worthy purchases.

This is a top-10 list for sales. And on top of that, it probably doesn't include sales from every store and website. So even if everyone agreed that CoD should be on there it wouldn't matter.

Anyway, I still think CoD is on of the top 20 selling PC games. And that says a lot for its popularity.
