What's everones thoughts on the game?

I was surpised by how difficult it is even on easier settings given at times your given horde after horde of zombies then get hit with a hand full of SI all at once.

I like it.
It feels like it should have been broken into pieces and sold as a DLC.
There's a lot of new stuff, but it still feels like the same game. That's not bad. I really liked the first game. I just needed something fresh to play which makes this a good buy in my case.

If you liked the first game... it's worth the cost.

I am basing my opinion on just over an hour of gameplay... most of the first and most of the second campaign.

Overall it's what I expected, new weapons and levels.

I've only done the first three campaigns as I haven't spent much time on it, but even on Normal it can take an hour to do one campaign which is a vast improvement on the first game.

I've played a bit of Versus and one level of survival, both are exactly the same as before only .... versus feels empty now, more special infected to be and yet only 4 vs 4, the hunter is the weak link now and I hate being anything but the new SI, tanks are very weak and it feels biased towards the survivors.

Where's the 8vs 8 mode !

So yeah, good .. but still not amazing, some of the bigger levels have plain grassy areas with absolutely no detail and a few buildings and just one big block of horrible texturing.

I expected it so I'm not complaining, I didn't pay full price either... but then again I did buy WAW for the same (£24) and it's levels are far more superior in detail/time/effort that's gone into them. Wake up and learn to use hammer please Valve.

Overall... It's an expansion to L4D, I got what I wanted. But I wish there was another choice...

The game does feel like an expansion, mostly, but I would have paid for the new content, so I don't mind paying full price for it.

And I do find the game to be more difficult overall. If you can't keep moving in Hard Rain, you're not going to finish the level. All the new stuff in L4D2 seems designed to bog down the survivors in a couple of places on every map, and if you do get bogged down, you're screwed.

For my part, that makes the second game much more interesting than the first.

I like it but I can only imagine how much better it could have been if valve wouldve spent more time on it instead of rushing it out really fast. Makes me kind of courious to see what they release for the first one since they said they will be supporting it even after the second one comes out.

I never played the first much so it feels more like a 'new' game to me.. But i have to say, welshy watch out, im so taking your #1 l4d fan spot

Fantastic game, can't stop playing it just give me the sdk and ill be happy the rest of this year.

I will have to say, I like it better than the first. I think it might be the campains that run right into one another or the new weapons. Also, I like some of the new SI. I have yet to play Vs. or survival, but am looking forward to! However, I still think it could have been better. There are parts where it feels like the same ol' L4D. I hope they do support this better than they did L4D 1.

Overall I am impressed with the game. The new campaigns are great fun and look amazing. I love the new weapons, especially the melee weapons.

There are some issues though, Is it just me or are the AI even dumber than the first game?, The amount of times I've lost nearly all my health because I've been grabbed by something and the AI just stand there watching me, As if to say "Get yourself out".

I love the fact that there are loads more zombies on this one, However sometimes it's a bit annoying. Sometimes there are just too many to contend with and it becomes less fun and more aggravating.

Can't wait for the tools though, that’s when the real fun begins.
