After compiling (fast or verbose) I am getting the rainbow color effect on my character in the shadows of imported prefabs. I have tried compiling model shadows, no model shadows, no setting at all and still getting the same effect. Any ideas? Thanks.

You need to add a reflection_probe (right click on 2D window) at about the players height and cover all playable areas of your map with with a brush of light grid volume texture.

Reflection probes in CoD2 Radiant? Maybe CoD4/WaW but not CoD2 that I am aware of.

Aaah sorry cod2, My bad. Do you have any mods or custom maps installed other than your own work?

No mods, it's a clean install only for making maps. I am using some of the prefabs stored here at modsonline and only get the rainbow effect on my character in the shadow of the prefab.

THis must be a vista thing. Recompiled, no errors. Strange. Thanks though.

You need to make a grid file, rainbow colors on the characters and view models are caused by not having a light grid made.

With the COD2 launcher there should be options for making the grid file, if you've done it correctly you'll be playing pacman.

Collect all the green dots within the playable space.

There's a way to do it with brushes in radiant but I can't remember as it was more of a trick than a proper way back in COD2.
