Hey all,

Yeah I am havin a problem with using Radiant. It is probably a general problem but thanks for the input. I am tryin to raise the height on the left side, where the little blue box is. I want to be able to view the 3d picture on the right from a higher view. Thanks

I was having the same problem.

Basically, you can't change the height that way. You need to click on the XYZ button on the toolbar. This will change the view. You can change the height from there.

I made a recent post asking for help with the same problem. It should be very easy to find in this forum.

Im not positive on what you mean!

i think you want to:

Press Cntrl + pull your mouse back/push forward!

That raises the camera height in the 3D Box...

Oh, so that problem was about changing your view, okay. You can also change the view by pressing Ctrl+Tab, once you're used to it you'll use it a lot, and pressing that "xyz" button all the time would be annoying.

go into edit/ prefences

and up the top u can select wot style u want your layout of view ports.

select the 3 along ( i think )

and u get 4 view ports apear, 1 to display picture, 1 that shows a birds eye view of your designing grid, and the other 2 are from 2 different side angles of your designing grid.

its so simple that way

Hope that helps

Alternatively you could use the key controls.

arrow keys for movement (left right, forward, backward)
D for moving the camera up
C for moving the camera down
A for making the camera tilt up (looking up)
Z for making the camera tilt down (looking down)

Thank you guys,

Yeah I was talking about changing the views for the 3d picture, and I was fooling around and now I can see that, I have got the hang of that prob now. It's not really that hard now that I understand it.
One last thing, I am following a tutorial on building a room, but can't seem to find out where to go to find the link that let's you have a player start, so that I can program it to spawn, and then test my map.

Thanks all
