I've been getting the error message below often in Radient when putting a texture on a brush.
http://www.mohantihack.l2p.net/errormessage2.jpg

After I click ok or cancel Radient crashes.

Is anyone else having this problem and is there a solution?
Will clearing out my registry help?

well, you have 2 things that i would recommend rectifying

the first is to rename your install path and get rid of the "game of the year edition".... it causes nothing but problems

secondly, i would remove the registry key for codradiant, as this seems to help rectify errors of this sort...take a look

here for instructions [angryalien]

ok...next question....did you change the views?
the 4 pane view is the only stable one (2d grid, 3d view, textures, text windows)

Ok. To make a brush, I make the brush the way I want it out of the texture I want. When I texture something, I just highlight what I want to texture, click on the thing I want to texture, and press "Make Structual."
So here's how I do it exactly for making brushes:
1. Click on texture
2. Make brush on 2D screen
3. Make structual

For putting on textures:
1. Shift-Click in 3D mode what I want to texture.
2. Click on a texture.
3. Make structual.

It seems I only get my error message when changing the texture on an existing brush. Then again that might not be so because I've done a lot more changing textures than making new objects with textures.

And I forgot to mention I only get the error occasionally, probably every 10-15 minutes or so.

I hope I was specific enough and thanks for helping me!

ahhhhh...

turn autosave off (might be as simple as that)

not the best method for creation and texturing of brushes...but it shouldnt cause a crash

I turned autosave off and I'll let you know if I get the error message anymore. Thanks!
