Quote:
From the outset, it seems clear that Infinity Ward have little to no interest in pursuing the PC as a viable development path for the Call of Duty franchise. You can't modify Modern Warfare 2 in any way. You can't bring down the console for any custom commands. You can't lean. There's no way to kick or ban players in a ranked match. Free DLC? Forget it. The lack of dedicated servers will hit the community hard, and the utter nonsense that the host latency advantage causes with console titles seems to have made the transition across to PC in arguably the most anticipated release of the year. The reason for this is simple - it's a money grab. The PC population that has supported and nurtured this franchise from inception will now play second fiddle to the greed of a company that has tasted success on the console, and will now seek to reign in all control of their IP to wring every last cent out of.

Guess no-one but the reviewers are completely happy with the latest installment.

Ubisoft was caught paying game sites to review their games "good" so the chances are big Activision did the same.

I think Infinity Ward lost their reputation with Modern Warfare 2..

I believe MW2 single player is by far the best SP I've ever played in a game... The amount of detail and crazy yet semi-realistic storyline was great.

the key word in the above quote is "was" u play single player once or twice then sell it on ebay or let it gather dust with the other single player games in that box u have under the desk

the only, ONLY, type of game i enjoy is against real people because thats a REAL challenge with REAL rewards

FUN over reality at all times, and sure a single player game can be fun "can" , "was", "isn't anymore."

and the multiplayer.
there is limited fun to be had running around small maps with no room for variation or change. sure the first 2 months is great...what then? another £10 for a map pack? or perhaps another £30 game?

cod4 is great, the mods i play are always changing, new maps, new settings, new challenges against real people, people i play with on a regular basis, people who come to the SAME SERVER each time.

screw it all, anyone wanna come play paintball?

The level with the icepicks so far was the best one, including the snow mobile part. Although the ones I've played so far just remind me of Call of Duty 4. :/
