I made a curve inside my room with the bevel tool. When I put a light there, it makes the curve look very bright and darken out at the edges, making it look... well, fake. How can this be corrected?

Thanks,
Ryan

Make sure the lightmap on the wall is correct (shift+l) and press "S" then "lmap".

It's not a spotlight, but this lightmap doesn't look right too me. I did lmap on it, but it didn't change. (I had done this before).

EDIT: The smoothing is smoothing soft, would that be the problem?

Thanks,
Ryan

smooth is fine, otherwise it won't look perfectly curved

what sort of light do you use if it's not a spotlight?

Just a basic light, radius 200 intensity 1 nothing checked. Any more ideas?

Also there is no skybox, therefore no sunlight/color values (since there is not currently an outside).

a basic light is a radial light, the closer an object is to the light source, the brighter it'll get illuminated. center of the wall = more light, borders = less ('cause they are further away)
