hi

thanks for all the great ideas. esspicially the hive from resident evil. I have made something abit like that but i think i will change the textures on it.

Yeah i am sticking to the WW2 theme i am making trenches and things like that but with abit more added and i have the same idea about u on that LOTR map. I think my friend tryed to make it but he had put so many things in it just would not work but i guess someone else made it.

Hi Mark, (you know who this is dont you?) WRONG! its the Dad of Azz [tongue] Now a bit of ear tugging from me, Learn to crawl before you walk, then get to running later. Keep your first attempt simple and SMALL. Dont get too ambitious.
Now the very very very most important thing to learn about mapping is to BACK UP YOUR WORK.
Supposing you do some map work, then supposing you do a swift test run in COD, say its OK, then the next time you load your map into the editor go export as and save it to a temp location. Then you can do some more work on the map (dont do too much all at once) compile again and run another test taking notice of any changes you made. If its Ok repeat the back up after loading into the editor again.
If anyone else reading this is thinking I am being a bit hard on this guy, dont worry he can fend for himself and is paying the next time I take him and my Son Azz to McDonalds. [biggrin]

i think i will call it mp_fragfest but if someone can think of other names i would be happy to hear then i might change it i haven't desided yet thats just the best name so far

How about a Airfield for the Lufftwaffle and use stukas and condors. It will be great for a Search and Destory(blow up bombers) or Retrieval(find Bombing info etc)
