I trie dto start a map for Doom 3 and I created a basic box in front of the camera. I went to go inside the box to play with textures and well... i couldn't get in. I would just click the button and my camera would decide to move. Is there a way to stop this? To change it to how its more exact like in COD / UO.

if you right click(and hold down) on the camera view window you can move around but not up or down, but i like using the arrow key most of the time, the only time i use the mouse is for fine movements.

It helps but its a pain in the... (use your imagination). What would be nice though is to change the whole thing. Thx for the suggestion though.

The controls for the cameraveiw in DoomEdit are a bit different than GTK, but once you get used to them they are just as reliable.

Basicall you can rightclick to move the camera - the different place you click in the camera veiw determines the direction the camera moves in and how fast. CTRL + Rightclick will let you move up and down, and right and left similar to a strafe.

Or like void said you can use the arrows and C and D to move.

If you still cant get used to it you can always try GTK for D3, which works for some people, though I havent used it so I cant say about its stability.

is it possible to tilt the camera up and down? i mean so you can view the map at different angles instead of straight on.

In COD Radiant you can move the camera simply by right clicking and dragging the view instead of this weird sliding thing going on with doom3 radiant :S if you hold control and right mouse you can strafe left and right and move up and down and holding control shift and right mouse you can look up and down. Is there anyinthg similar or is it a case of get used to it :P

thnx for the help... just switching over after learning mapping from call of duty.

lol, thats basically it unless you want to try GTK for D3.

You can change your look angle though, with A and Z, to look up and down, also "end" will recenter your veiw.
