Hi all i am very new to mapping and i was wondering because i don't want to make my own map straight away that there map source files that i could use and make improvments to the original cod waw maps and then build my way up to make my own map.
Please reply comments much appreciated.

The mod tools come with mp_castle source. This is currently the only source file of a stock map that you can edit for WAW.

I doubt there will be anymore, but the Treyarch wiki as a large map source for it's Der Riese tutorial of the level Der Frost.

There are also .map files which are the editable files from previous COD games which will work with WAW although they will require some knowledge in order to convert them and remove certain entities.

Over all I would suggest starting to map through tutorials with a blank canvas or download the small prefabs that are on this site.

Launching a stock map in the editor without prior experience will be confusing and very difficult to learn from.

Ok thanks are there any tutorials on how u can use the .map source files from previouse cod games. If there isn't I am sure I could do it myself it's just I would prefer a tutorial on how to

The best way to get the older COD source maps would be to download the tools for previous cod games..
