I know I may sound retarted but can someone compile a map i made plz....

Really your best option is to figure out why you can't compile. If you don't get that mastered you'll have a heck of a time ever developing maps.

Mailing maps for someone to compile will just frustrate you (and them) to the point that you'll give up.

What's the problem with your compile?

And, not to sound like a broken record, but have you gone through all the basic tutorials on compiling and setting up?

im stuck on the first .bat file for option 2 on the tut here.

It just dosent want to compile

A little more specific than "it doesn't want to compile"

Are you getting an error? Can you post your log?

to post your log, before pressing any key to continue at the end, right click in the window and click on 'select all' and then press enter. Then come here and paste it into your message box thing. Then we'll tell you what your problem is.

Q1) Is that the NTFS specific method?
Q2) If so is your install drive formatted as NTFS?
If you answered yes to Q1 and no to Q2 that is why you are having probs, if not I have no clue. So post your log so someone that knows what they're doing can have a look.

You really need to be specific in your questions. "It didn't work" is about like saying "My car is broken. What's wrong with it?" when you have a flat tire....

OK, so you compiled and ended up with a BSP file? (Yes/no).

What did you do then, and where is it not working for you?

I can't explain the process any different than the tutorial. The tut works; where are you having your challenges?

if you would like to test your map out, than move the .bsp file to

callofduty/uo/maps/mp

after that go into the game and go to "start new server" make sure pure is turned off and bring down the console(the ~ key). than type /map yourmapname (press enter)


that is how to test ur map with only a .bsp hope that helps
