I want to make a rug.

I've made a brush, turned it into a simple terrain patch and split it into 4 quarters. How do i select each individual quarter?

I have one texture, 256x512 which is a seamless quarter of a rug image. However, i can't align my textures correctly because i can't select each quarter of the patch.

The simpliest thing to do would be to take that patch and cut it along the vertices to make your 4 sections. I think the key combination is ctrl-shift-x.


hmmmm....on reading your post again I think you have done what I just suggested. Im not sure what your are really trying to accomplish. Are you trying to have different textures in each of the 4 quarters?

no. Instead of having a huge 1024x512 texture of an entire rug, i've split it up into quarters to save memory. so my rug texture is only one corner of the rug, but it can mirror seamlessly in x and y.
I need to select each quarter of the patch to tell it to flip the texture uvs accordingly, so that the corner rug texture makes up the complete rug.

you can't change the UVs per quad/triangle, you have to split the patch.
