Hey guys,
iam looking for the function to get a text in the center of the screen that everybody can see!
I want to do it like this:

if any1 on the server break the rules, i just want to open console and then type something like

/rcon centertext  Warning [ClientID] - you break the rules

or like

/rcon centertext  Are there any mapwishes?

And this should come up like the Message of Today...in the middle of the screen!

I know that there is a function like this - i've seen it on a server long time ago!

I've got a bit scripting experience but not so much...
and pls excuse my english xD

okay - i heard/read something about to iprintlnbold - but i really dont know how to use it ^^

and sry, but i dont know anything about a wait script, too ^^...
i've done some things in our mod like editing the weapon menu or the main screen in cod2...all other scripts i get from users here in the forum :)

Trying getting rcon4cod2 and open up some of the files to read what the scripting they did and how it works. I know that when you do things it pops up a message saying it's a command given by rcon4cod2 tool. Maybe that might do the trick or help you out in someway.

Maybe theres a way you can just do a new cvar command and as the result of that command be a message in center of the screen.

i looked for rcon4cod2 - but its a stand-alone-program...im sure that i cant find anything there ^^

well theres got to be dll's or some kind of file that has all the commands in it in order for it to know what buttoms does what command and what not. I mean it's got to have something stating send a message.

iprintlnBold() is not a function you can use with rcon, as it isnt a console command.

As far as I know, there is no way to get a text message on the center of a screen except with a mod. So, unless you're prepared to change the status of your server from stock to modded, it cant be done.

not really. you could open it just to see how the function of posting a message on the screen and try to impliment it into gsc scripting. it's only stealing the authors work if it's the same coding but guessing as gsc is different than c+ or apache coding then it wouldn't be stealing work.
