Sevenz writes...foyleman writes...Well I just screwed up this post. I thought these were the same errors that DemonSeed and Sevens were posting about. Sevens' issue is regarding the < br > tag in forum posts and DemonSeed is reporting the breaking of URLs possibly caused by line breaks.

Sorry for the confusion.

Can anyone help me find the URL issue? If you don't know what the URL issue is, then you probably haven't experienced it.

The < br > issue is related to browsers I believe. I am going to have to write some sort of work-around for people who have the browser that causes this problem. f'n browsers.

Sevenz writes...OK. I don't think it's completely the fault of browsers, but also the fault of the text editor from which the code was copied. There are 2 ways to interpret line breaks in plain text and those to ways can also be combined. I THINK this was the cause of the issue. Since I don't know which text editors use which line breaks (you can't see the code that produces line breaks, you can only see a line break), I don't know how to reproduce it.
For all I know, it could be a combination of text editors and operating systems.

Anyway, I put some code into the CODE bbcode that will hopefully stop this from happening. Now I wait to see if it happens again.

well, now that you said that... i copied the code from Programmer's Notepad using Windows line endings (\r\n). can't reproduce it tho, maybe your code change fixed it.

btw. my browser is firefox 3.0.14, os: win xp 32bit sp3
