Prob a dumb question... ..but prob won't be the last. [devilishgrin]

When I first installed the Q3Radiant everything seemed normal... learned most my shortcuts ect.
Now when I try to deselect a brush I get a darker red instead of deselecting. Not sure if I changed something inadvertantly or what. Didn't do this whenI installed it.. was shift+L click to select then one more click would let it go..

Really appreciate any input as I am at a standstill till I get this figured out.

thanx

you've put two brushes in the same spot, so when you click the brush again to deselect it, it selects te second brush that's 'inside' that brush. if you wanna deselect both just press the escape button. If you wanna select a brush normally you would use shift+left click, and if you'd want to deselect you can shift+left click on it again or just press esc. by the way, if you want to delete one of the brushes that are inside of each other just shift+left click on the brush once and then you can press backspace to delete just one. If you don't delete one of the brushes, you'll get a really ugly effect call z-fighting, which means that in-game you'll see a part of one brush and a part of another, in the same spot. this produces really ugly z-shaped surfaces.

hope this helps ya [pimp]

Helped IMMENSLY... thank you ... not sure how I did it but I doubled up the whole darn thing. Thought I was losing my mind. ( not that anyone would notice)

Thanx again.. guess I'll be around more than I thought .. But, hopefully I can finish this thing and learn enough to get better. Maybe even get good.(We all gotta dream.. [wink] )

Peace
