Be Advised: if you make any edits to weapon files, you may find one or more of the following:
1. The hide tags might not work anymore, and you may get bayonets showing.
2. The reload and rechamber sounds might not work on the primary AltWeapon.
I've been editing / adding weapon files like there's no tomorrow and never encountered any of these behaviours, looks more like broken local install to me
As for the OP, why not use the tools provided, Asset Manager in this case? We also have the Weaponsettings_mp.gdt to edit stock ones provided with modtools. Here are the State Timers, it all depends on what you mean by "loadtime":

I didnt say it had happened to me. I said it "may" happen. I too have modded the weapons files till like there is no tommrow and had no trouble, but I have read a few posts that have said they have had problems. So, I noted it.

with the bullets, the loading time is different for drawing gun, non empty clip, and empty clip. i wonder if the gl also has 2 settings for drawing the gl and reloading the 2nd nade. thanks again
Is it the reload time you are trying to adjust? Or the first time you press the DPAD button to chamber the rifle grenade?
Either way, I think you will find you can speed things up with a weapon file edit, but not slow them down. |

fetz writes...Quote: anything to slow down the rifle nade loading either call up or reload, both are much too fast.
i took a look at the tools and do not see a setting for the rifle nade reload :boggle:
The screenshot i posted was specifically a GL_ weapon file. It was for the G43 nade launcher so all the reload timer apply and work when altered.
If you chose to go straight in the file then look for reload and reload_add timers and double them. You might have an ugly anim, needs testing really.
