hey i havent played cod4 in a while but when i started it up today i noticed that i can play in a server fine for about 5 min and then my fps will drop to 10. my computer has always ran cod4 at around 60fps so this is confusing me. my computer is a sager np9262 laptop with 4 gigs ram, geforce 8800gtx, and has a intel quad core processor running at 2.66ghz. can someone please help me. thanks

i believe 7, im pretty sure im running the latest version

Reason I asked is because people were having some problems like that on IW forums. I would check there for a fix, as they might have found one. If ya can't I'm sure we can try to help ya back here.

Well unless you know for sure how, I would fully unistall the game reg keys and all and do a fresh install and see if that works.

Install Virtural PC and install the game there to see if it is hardware or software related, causing your problem. This way you can coral the game to debug the problem. Just a thought.

Maybe your Video card is failing.

System Process issue, could be many of things at this point.

Had a similar problem once before with an 8600 and 8800. The card was failing.

Could be overheating, make sure the fans and heat sinks aren't clogged up with dust and dirt
