Ok .. I tried looking through the forum for 2 days now.. I found a post with the answer Boogyman asked about it and baltic.forever HAD a link. But, alas, I have waited to long to generate this interest and am just now getting this far in mapping (actually trying levels now instead of just 3 pretty rooms connected). The link baltic.forever posted is gone. So my question is does anyone know where it went or, can someone tell me how it is done. Would like to use the idea from Vally Of Kings. There are a couple spots on my map I would like to make accessable only in this manner.But, is kinda dependant on me learning how to do it.

Thanx for any help you can steer me to..

i have a pack of prefabs i released here that contains a shootable teleport.

the way to make them is as follows;

1. the shootable target part is a func_button. give it properties health : 5 and target : tele1

2. you place a target_teleport. give it targetname : tele1 and target : tele2

3. place a misc_teleporter_dest , this is put in the location you want to teleport to. give it targetname : tele2

KEWL... :pimp: I really feel like a goof now.. [redface] .. I had already been there and gotten that prefab pack ... Unpacked it last night but, didn't look at what al it had. Just made the "assumption" that the four screenies were all that was in it.. LOL got it for the Stairs .. (Which due to revamp on the map I can't use.. :cry: ) But, now I can do.

THANX for the fast and informative reply.. really appreciate the help... got me past a major hump.. hopefully I won't have to bother ya'll TOO awful much, but, I am VERY sure that I'll need more help before this is all over ..

Sure ain't the same as mapping Q2... :biggrin:

to make doors and buttons into ones that you shoot to operate, you need to give them a health setting. the actual value of the health does not matter, i picked 5 because it is a nice friendly number [tongue]
