Someone over 40s like me remembers it as seen on TV?:D

Well I'VE DONE IT as a map for SOF2

Rellay big and detailed map availale soon (next month, doing testing and debugging).

Fans of THE PRISONER DON'T MISS IT!

Added a second ROVER (the ugly assassin balloon) causing several problems... I'm trying to workaround.. I need a few days more to complete!

screenshots look great, but the amount of models you use does concern me.

I am curious if you get the fps correctly, there is nothing worse then low fps.

I have seen so many maps, some were very good but the fps was so damn poor for public or war games!

Indeed, I would rather see a watered down version with good FPS, than one you can only walk around to smell the roses...

I'm testing on two p4 2.4 Gz radeon 9700.

Zone mem peak 50 mb...

At the moment it runs at variable rate from 15 to 70 fps depending from the view (faraway from the coast or walking in the streets). most of the time it runs at 30 fps.

My Doom3 sometimes drops to ugly 8/9 fps in single player but I think noone could say that is a shitty game.

A good looking map pretend to compromise between audio/visual and performance. I started this projects pushing the slider from PERFORMANCE toward QUALITY design parameter and hoping for a full 90 fps for the next generation of PC.

Then drop down resolution, cut off shadows, SS, txture quality and all the stuff.. but anyway I think this map is not for FPS top runners :D

You know this is a UNIQUE large outdoor area with 7500+ brushes and several hundred of entities. As soon as the map will be released I'll set up a site dedicated to the develoing of this project... I hope you'll help to optimize suggesting tecniques to speed up without simplifying the visual appearence.

Regarding the smell of roses... I'm waiting for a SMELL-O-RAMA device to implement it!
