For those who might have been following the thread on RGN I finally got custom/imported Vehicles to work in MP, both local and dedicated servers. [idea]



I have a test server running as it is the best way to show off the vehicles which are almost ready for release.

On the test server at the moment:


  1. Panzer IV no armor
  2. T34 no armor
  3. Sherman no armor
  4. M8
  5. SDK222
  6. Jeep Willys


A few notes:


  1. Third person players/anim on the jeep are very much WIP [drink]
  2. Some gunners weapons arent aligned
  3. Note the player now stick to the MG on tanks!
  4. FXs on jeep a little much [evil]
  5. Exhaust FXs on all vehicles!
  6. Damages states on all vehicles(mild,moderate,severe,complete)

Password: itworks

To come:

- Type97 (Japanese Tank)
- Halftracks
- Horch (maybe)
- Type94 / Opel Blitz Truck (maybe)

Very nice work Zeroy!

Note: The FX on the jeeps are rough on my computer. I avg about 120 fps, then 10 when I am looking at a burning jeep.

lol, but the jeeps are fun to drive! I lol'd the whole time! Going to be a blast!

Yeah the FXs for the jeeps are a bid mad, i will correct this asap.

Have you created new models of a vehicles and rigged them properly, or is it just new texture? I'm just asking because I don't have CoDWaW so I can't compare them ( with a vehicles on a screenshot ). [tongue]

OK, well basically Treyarch only provided 2 vehicles (Panzer4 and T34 with armor) for MP, the model you see in the screenshot are stock models re-rigged to fix the getting in and out and driver view.

But it would work the exact same way with any vehicle model. The stock ones are great since most have the correct wheel tags and so on.

Anarchic-X crew already have BAS Assault playable, it is more or less why i got back into trying this. The Sherman and Type97 should be ready for Public release very soon.

Added a DeLorean for the fun and redone the map a little.
