Indeed, I had also checked that it wasnt simply a resized xmodel\com_widescreen_monitor_on. The monitor foot isnt the same as the one in mp_broadcast:





As can be seen - completely different.

Look again, or go in no_clip around the map lads. The model has been resized you can see the white semi_circle foot in those pictures. If you go in no_clip though it makes sense when you see it through the wall [thumbs_up]

they cheated lol

anyway, i had a closer look at a test fastfile and the xmodel data stays mostly untouched. i need to ask regolith what the few different bytes are for.

Not to be contradictory merely for the sake of it, but rather to avoid confusion, an xmodel doesnt have an extension of .map. In fact, it doesnt have an extension at all.

Your right, and good call. That is because I copied the filename from the prefabs folder. My mistake [lol]

I guess I was too tired at the moment to realize I left the .map in there. Don't worry I slapped myself for it already. [tongue]

can we argue over this statement next:

detail outside of a playable area is a waste of resources.

should I even ask...

is there anyway to mod the small flat panel prefab to convert it from dyn_model to were you could remove the screen foot the extend out the monitor to make a widescreen TV, or is the model locked

I have been looking through prefabs for Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike Source from FPSbananna I found desks and I found several LCD monitors that I can make it a LCD TV
