Check the setting you have for textures-render quality.

i did the toturial for compliyng and testing but my console says " can't find maps/mp/aswbeta1" , maybe there is a better toturial?

The tutorial works. Your map is most likely the cause of the error.

Create your own thread and post your compile log in it.


How to get your compile log:

when your .bat runs...it opens a command window.


In your command window, before pressing any key to close the window,
rightlclick and select "Select All". The text will then turn white. Press "Enter".
You've now got it copied to your clipboard and can paste it anywhere you want.

or:

Before pressing a key the first time click the icon in the upper left of the cmd window
click edit --> select all and press enter. This has copied the log to the clipboard
for you to paste to a text file or preferably to a forum reply for help you do this
for all three times copy paste...copy paste...copy paste

that problem is fixed , but now if i load it , it stops and says my [map name] has the wrong number ( 20 should be 59)/(1125 should be 59) ...

some words of advice that i can share

learn to use the editor and all of its tools (and where each tool can be used safely)

draw your brushes and mitre the corners using the edge tool to draw back the corners to form the angles required

stay away from any csg functions, they are usually a shortcut to disaster, especially if you start depending on them

stay away from using the vertices manipulator on brushes...it never produces the results you want

leave snap to grid on

learn to use the clipper in both the 2 point and 3 point clip mode

practice using the tools before you decide to build something...people with no experience dont rush out and buy a whole bunch of tools at the hardware store and try and make a house if they have absolutely no experience...to a certain extent you can learn as you go..but you will likely be happier with the end result if you show up prepared

never be afraid to try something different, but dont be disappointed if it doesn't work...and dont let it swell your head too much if it does work

man this is not easy stuff.
