This is it, once this is solved my first custom map will be complete after a month.

I have the loadscreen file, but where do I place it? It never said where...

duno is cod4 is different to cod2 in this way but...


The "loading_screen.iwi" goes into the images folder

and the "loading_screen goes" in to the materials folder

i have it in there with the other map loadscreens and my .iwi loadscreen in the images folder in my map folder in usermaps...

it still doesnt work?

If correct these files exist:
[root]\CoD4MW\raw\images\loading_screen.iwi
[root]\CoD4MW\raw\material\loading_screen

You'll need to include it into your maps csv file:
material,loading_screen

And at last but not least:
Put the iwi file(s) into an iwd file.

yeah, i have those files, but where do i find the csv?

the tutorial in the codwaw section has the most detail

not everything is relevant but you should be able to combine a couple of tutorials and get it working

remember that you CAN NOT LOAD THE MAP FROM THE MOD TOOLS when you have minimap and loadscreen that is why u do it at the end of the mapping process

transfer the completed .iwd .ff and _load.ff into a mp_mymapname folder in [root]/usermaps

then load cod4 from the shortcut
change to a mod eg modwarfare
in console type
/devmap mp_mymapname

all those files are in place and i had the loadscreen in images and in the materials folder but it still wont show up when i load the map...

btw i think my loadscreen is like 1300x1024

does that have something to do with this??
