Where did you learn CoD scripting? I've seen tutorials and documentation and stuff. But, only for MoH AA and QuakeC. To me, it's just the commands and not what they DO and how you USE them in a script.

I really want to do a cool single player map. And perhaps, even join PhantomDentist's mod at some point soon, if possible.

But, yeah.. And I don't have £20 to spend on a C++ book, either. I'm absoloutely skint.

You can learn alot from looking at the gsc files in CoD itself.

edit: Not just looking at them, but trying to understand them, and trying to understand their workings in the maps.

Yeah, on the .map forums, I was browsing the topics and one guy recommended to this other dude that he looked at the Pegasus Day script. Didn't help much.

What's the most BASIC but essential bit of code for an SP map, then?

SP maps require alot of scripting, because everything which takes place in the map needs to be scripted. So there is no basic "This will work" sp script I think.

Looking at the tutorials here might be a nice start though (Scroll to the bottom to the SP section).
