Hey guys, sorry to be a pain in the ass but i have another problem.
Im trying to add some pre made models from the library. I right click and go misc>model and the model browser comes up but empty. Its looking in bin by default and on the right it says "cant find preview image".
When I look at tutorials on the net, their model preview is filled with models from the game. How can I see and use those models?
Also, the prefab does the same thing.. nothing there.

Hoi,
the Models are found in CoD4Root/raw/xmodel
The Prefabs are under Cod4Root/mapsource/prefabs

Have a look there and i bet you can see your Previews in Browser

Hey that worked! Thankyou. I cant believe something in this editor actually worked!

This thing is doing my head in. Ive done all the tutorials and things just dont work on mine the way they do in the videos.

Im actually an ex Pandemic 3D artist, Ive learned Softimage and can model and animate. But this editor is so confusing.. Hardest thing Ive ever tried to learn. I just want to get to the creative part but need to get all this exporting and buggy things working first.

How can I see a preview of the xmodel or prefab I'm going to put
in my map!????

I have updated to version 1.1
I can put xmodels into my map but I lose to much time because i can't have that preview of what I'm going to put in my map

Anticipated thanks to everyone that helps me.

When you're using 'misc' -> 'model' a preview screen should pop-up right next to where you browse for you XMODEL folder, not all models have previews but the most commonly used do.

And don't worry about Radiant, it's hard in the beginning but it's extremely easy once you've worked with it for a while.

I saw what you read, but the problem is that:
ALL THE MODELS DON'T HAVE PREVIEW

hOW CAN I REPARE IT?

The pictures are in Docs/model_pics if this map is empty just download the mod tools and put the images there. When they are there, I would make a backup of my own files and reinstall the mod tools!
