John Carmack of iD Software reveals that RAGE's framerate suffers considerably on the PlayStation 3.

In the latest Edge magazine, programming wizard John Carmack statesthat the Xbox 360 version of RAGE just about matches the 60fpsframerate of the PC version, while the PS3 only runs the game at around20-30fps at this stage in development.

"The 360 version matches the PC's 60 fps," Carmack told Edge. "But thetextures on many surfaces currently flick visibly between resolutionsas you move toward and away from them, while the PS3's framrate runs atjust 20-30fps

Previously Carmack has stated that the PS3 is a little bit slower atrunning RAGE, but this is the first time we've been told by just howmuch. However, iD Software still intends to release all three versionsat 60fps and they're confident they can achieve this.
