Nice job by Activision.

Is using material from WaW in CoD4 considered a violation of copyrights?

Just wondering, then again it's just a mod, no money or editting source codes involved.

Awesome.

Jeannotvb I don't think Activision would have a problem with content being distributed between certain Activison games.

However it will be worth checking the booklets for WAW and COD4 and the license agreements which are always held in the games directory (sometimes in "docs") for clauses that might prohibit exchanging certain materials from one title to the next.

This is about infringement of XBoX 360 firmware - not about copyrighted material, which allows the console game to be hacked, yet bypass the MS Live "pure" console check.

That is why Activision considers it "extremely serious" because it puts their contract with Microsoft in jepody, and of course, all the money they make from it.

If it were a PC hack, Activsion wouldnt bother. Theres little or no money to be made out of PCs, so we dont matter.

mhm its exactly what demonseed said, if anyone plays xbox360 hear u would notice there are alot of hackers now, i never thought it would be possible cause its a console wich is just pretty weird but people can fly around maps on cod4 and waw makeing the stats on the games just complete bullshit. people can switch teams on SD wich is not alowd on console because of the ranking system. im glad there finaly doing something about this, but what is gona happend to the people that did download these hacks? i hope they will acctauly find out who downloaded these hacks so they dont keep flicking around on cod.

Ok thanks for the info, even though they don't "care" I still hope i'm not violating anything.

As for the hack, sounds nasty, I thought it had to do with random multiplayer cheats.
